In this short course, we discuss the investment rationale for long-term wealth creation by investing in Indian equities. As part of our Level 1-5 investment framework, growth of an economy (Level 4) is what ultimately leads to the growth in revenues, profits & valuations for a business (Level 3). This is what is the core driver of longer-term wealth creation, when you invest in diversified Indian equity funds (Level 2).

The Macro Case for Investing in India: This section covers the core pillars of economic growth, India's positioning in a global context, the reforms & other growth enablers that provide a strong foundation for growth in the coming decade, the role of demographics and more. India is believed to have the potential to be amongst the fastest growing major economies globally over the coming decade. This section explains the core drivers behind this bullish view.
The core themes where we see value being created in India: From an equity investor perspective, true value creation occurs through exposures to underlying themes (Level 5) that drive growth for the economy, industries, businesses and ultimately share prices. This section covers our views on some of the major themes where we see value being created in the Indian markets, including Consumption, BFSI, IT, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing and Physical Asset Creation.
Ashi Anand (Founder & CEO - IME Capital), is an ex-fund manager with 16+ years of fund management experience.
Ashi's fund management experience includes 5 years managing the Deep Value Portfolio at ICICI Prudential PMS, 8 years managing Kotak India Focus Fund (a quasi-private equity FII fund, investing in listed Indian equities) and 3 years as PMS Head at Allegro Capital Advisors.
Ashi has delivered consistent outperformance to the markets, across a wide range of market conditions & strategies. At IME Capital, Ashi aims to use his extensive experience in institutional fund management, to help individual investors gain a deeper understanding of how fund managers view investing.
